Welcome to Family Financial! We are a financial coaching service passionate about helping families find their unique financial purpose and experience the joy finances can allow rather than being consumed by the stress it can cause.

Our story began while we were in our early 20’s. We were unexpectedly thrown into parenthood with absolutely no preparation. We immediately gave into the social pressure of needing to upgrade from our lifestyle we had at the time. Get a bigger car, get a bigger house, move to a safer and more prosperous city, get higher paying jobs - and so we did!

We had allowed lifestyle creep to take over, and soon realized as a couple, we were not aligned with our financial goals and habits. While one of us wanted to save and was anxious about money, the other was not worried and wanted to focus on having experiences.

Next thing we know, our baby is here. What we didn't prepare for was unpaid maternity leave. Suddenly we had a new baby, less income, and the lifestyle inflation we accumulated was weighing-in heavy.

Something was missing, we had the realization that it wasn't just about our income or where we live. It was about our consumerism, lifestyle, and habits. We didn't know where our money was going or have any goals for the future. We had absolutely no financial purpose.

This was when we started researching immensely. We bought courses, we got a ton of books, and we started communicating about our goals and how we were going to move forward. We became so invested in what it would take to turn our life around, we continued to study personal finance and became so passionate, that budgeting and goal setting became a hobby.

Gaining clarity, improving our relationship, and setting our daughter up for success led us to the desire to help other families in the same situation. We see so many around us struggling to prepare their family for the future in place of the short term desire to give their families experiences, which leads them down a deeper hole. We want to help you find your financial purpose and get peace back into your life while setting your family up for success.
